Brian Brobbey and Ajax Amsterdam will go their separate ways this summer. As the Dutch club announced, the 19-year-old striker has indicated that he will not renew his expiring contract.
Until recently, Ajax had fought for the extension with the talented youngster. It is unclear where Brobbey is going now.
Ajax sports director Marc Overmars explains: “It’s a shame that he’s leaving and we have done everything to ensure that he stays with us longer. He has decided to play football elsewhere from the summer. It’s difficult for me to accept that, but it’s his decision,”
Brobbey has played six times for the first team scoring twice, but he has been sensational for Jong Ajax this season.
He has played fourteen times for Jong Ajax in the Eerste Divisie scoring nine goals and providing two assists.
