Table Of Contents
Aldous has three active skills and a passive skill like most of the other heroes in-game. In this Mobile Legends guide, we will also talk about these skills to use in certain scenarios as well as skill combos to be able to play Aldous to his maximum potential.
Passive – Contract: Transform
After every 2 attacks, Aldous gains a 500 (+3* Soul Steal Stack count) shield for 3s on his next Basic Attack. This effect can only be triggered once every 5s.
Skill 1 – Contract: Soul Steal
Aldous unleashes his inner energy to strengthen his next Basic Attack, dealing 200/250/300/350/400/450 (+100% Total Physical ATK) Physical Damage. If he eliminates an enemy hero/non-hero unit with this attack, Aldous will gain 10/2 stacks of Soul Steal, respectively.
Each stack increases the damage of this skill by 6 permanently. When attacking minions or creeps, the damage of strengthened Basic Attack is increased by 300%. Aldous gets 2 extra stacks from Soul Steal when enemy non-hero units die in a certain range.
Skill 2 – Contract: Explosion
Aldous assumes a defensive stance, gaining 30% Damage reduction and 20% extra Movement Speed for 2s or until manual cancellation. He then deals 100/120/140/160/180/200 (+20% Total Physical ATK) – 200/240/280/320/360/400 (+40% Total Physical ATK) Physical Damage to nearby enemies and stuns them for 0.5-1s (scales with defensive stance duration).
Ultimate Skill – Contract: Chase Fate
Aldous gains vision of all enemies for 5s. During this time, if Aldous uses this skill again, he can dash toward an enemy hero. When Aldous hits that enemy hero, he will deal Physical Damage equal to 450/600/750 plus 10% of the target’s Max HP and knock the enemy back for 1s. Aldous can interrupt the target’s Recall and Arrival as he charges.
Skill-up method for Aldous
First unlock and prioritize Aldous Skill 1 as it is his Main damage source, next unlock Skill 2 on attaining level 2 and upgrade accordingly. Upgrade Ultimate Ability whenever available.
Best Emblem set and Spells for Aldous in Mobile Legends
The most ideal emblem to use for Aldous is the Custom Assassin Emblem, as it provides Physical penetration, extra Physical Attack, movement speed as well as extra HP regen on killing an enemy hero. These perks would really help in one-shot killing an enemy easily while using Aldous.
Hence, in the first tier, it is advisable to choose Bravery which provides extra Physical Attacks. While in the second tier opt for Invasion for extra Physical Penetration against enemy units with high physical defense. Lastly, Choose Killing Spree for extra HP Regen whensoever you slay an enemy hero.
- Retribution: If one’s team lacks a jungler or assassin, one could opt to go jungle lane after picking the retribution spell.
- Flicker: This battle spell is useful when Laning in the exp lane as it helps to easily catch and hit fleeing enemies or flee from dangerous situations.
Best Builds for Aldous in Mobile Legends
One can try many builds on Aldous. All one needs to do is to just follow the enemy’s pick and then decide the role on the battlefield. We have set out the following template to try out with Aldous on the battlefield.
If equipped with Retribution, it is advisable to take Tough boots or Warrior boots depending on the situation. It is also advisable to bless it with Ice retribution as it grants Aldous extra movement speed to catch up with fleeing enemies. But if one’s team already has a jungler one could go Exp lane and still opt for either Warriors boot (For extra Physical Defense) or Tough boots (Reduces Control duration and grants extra Magic defense), depending on enemies lineup.
Remember, Aldous is a very unique hero that doesn’t really need many attacking items to defeat and one-shot kill enemy heroes. So first build ThunderBelt as it provides Mama Regen as well as true damage against enemies, this item would really make Aldous hits hurt badly. Then one can follow up with Bruteforce Breastplate as it provides defense as well as extra movement speed on casting skills. Another main and Essential piece of equipment is the Malefic Roar as it provides extra Physical Penetration against highly defensive heroes. The rest equipment is built to increase one’s durability on the battlefield.
Mobile Legends Aldous Gameplay Tips
As discussed before, Aldous can easily burst down full HP enemies with one hit due to his enhanced Basic Attacks. However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our Mobile Legends Aldous guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game.
Aldous is relatively weak when compared to most enemy fighters during the early game Laning phase, so in spite of whether one is the jungler or exp laner, one must try to play safe and less aggressive as Farming is the key during this game phase.
If one is jungling, one must prioritize clearing all creeps and even minions found while rotating around your team’s jungle, as this is necessary to increase the number of Aldous stacks. If Aldous is played as an exp laner, try to not play too aggressively as Aldous skills do consume much mana at first, as recalling might reduce one’s farming efficiency.
Hence, do save and prioritize Aldous skills mainly for clearing minions or creeps that are nearby. Do also remember to use the enhanced Basic Attack of Aldous’s first skill to last hit enemy targets for extra stacks so as to increase his damage, as well as the extra durability, got from his passive. You can additionally perform the following skill combos to gain an upper hand on the battlefield:
Skill 1 (Enhanced Basic Attack) + Skill 2 + Skill 1 (Enhanced Basic Attack)
In this stage of the laning phase, Aldous starts to outshine other heroes because after attaining at least 100 Soul Steal stacks, it becomes quite easy for Aldous to melt down the HP of squishy targets like Marksmen, mages, and assassins with one or two hits. Also after attaining Level 4 and unlocking Aldous ultimate, it gets quite easy to chase and kill fleeing dot life enemies.
Hence, on unlocking Aldous Ultimate ability, one must take note that: while turret diving with Aldous’s ultimate ability one must target and prioritize heroes that are critically low on HP or if not the case, prioritize squishy marksmen or mage heroes with low escape or mobility capabilities as they wouldn’t be a stress to hit and kill.
Do not use Aldous’s ultimate ability to target dot life heroes with high Crowd Control abilities (like Valir, Vale, and Ruby, etc.) while they are in turrets as this might result in unnecessary delays in leaving the turret. Also don’t target highly mobile heroes or heroes with immune skills while they are in the turrets (unless they are critically low on HP), examples of such heroes are Lancelot and Benedetta. Lastly, do not target a dot life squishy hero while they have an allied teammate with CC skills, as playing safe and avoiding unnecessary deaths are the key to survival during this game phase. Perform the following skill combos to reign over on the battlefield:
Skill 3 + Skill 1(Before reaching enemy target) + Enhanced Basic Attack (On reaching enemy target) + Skill 1 + Enhanced Basic Attack + Skill 2
After completing most of his build and attaining a high soul steal stack, Aldous becomes a huge force to reckon with as he is capable of one-shot killing most enemy targets including Fighters and tanks even with their defensive item build. Hence, to properly progress with Aldous one must gank enemy heroes and prioritize their main damage dealers so as to guarantee the win for your team.
