Tertiary Music Awards 2020 to promote talents launched in Accra, the awards will primarily recognize artistes in tertiary institutions.
The Chief Executive Officer of Tertiary Music Awards (TMA), Mr. Duke Sowah, said the program aims to have an influence on the Ghanaian music industry and promote artists at the tertiary level.
Mr. Sowah clarified that the project was intended to raise awareness among tertiary students and the need for education when exploring their talents.
“This project aims at consciously creating a general awareness to tertiary level students on the need to attain higher education in addition to the pursuit of talents, which is music.”
Mr. Desmond Cwesi Oteng, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the program, confirmed that there were 29 categories for candidates and advised all interested parties to log on to the website of the initiative, www.tertiarymusicawards.com
“For the purposes of the 2020/2021 edition of the Tertiary Music Awards, submission of nominee entries would be opened on the 1st of November 2020 and closed on 31st of December 2020,” he said.
Mr. Richard Kyere Alexander, TMA’s Head of Marketing, said the project had come to stay and conveyed his appreciation to the supporters.
